STEVEN F. ALVARADO
Steven has always been attracted to
business and all its functions. The entrepreneurial spirit lives
within him. During his college years, Steven saw the potential
Supply Chain Management had as a strategic advantage to any
company. He has ever since been engulfed in learning more about
this multifaceted business function and how to strengthen it
within a business to create a competitive advantage.
Steven graduated Cum Laude from NC State University with a BS in
Business Administration focusing on Supply Chain Management.
Steven specializes in the analysis, development and execution of
the three levels of supply chain management, strategic, tactical
and operational. Steven has worked with companies such as Bank
of America and Absolute Logistics to help them maximize their
supply chain function and increase profits.
During the
Bank of America project, Steven and his team investigated the
option of moving BAC’s telemarketing function from a
brick-and-mortar model to the new and innovative
“Work-At-Home-Agent” model. The team had to conduct benchmark
studies across various industries, develop a cost analysis for
the long-term execution of the project, as well as conduct a
risk assessment, and ultimately make recommendations to top
executives with the bank.
These experiences have allowed Steven to isolate problem areas
within a company related to supply chain management, correct
them, and implement newer and more effective initiatives to
maximize resources and ultimately generate higher profits.
In his free time, Steven enjoys learning about new business
initiatives from the global business community, playing soccer,
and reading interesting historical novels.
